Daisy Jordan is an artist, maker, and puppeteer, based near Brighton, East Sussex, England.
She is a multi-media artist, working in puppetry, painting, sculpture, cardboard art, and performance. Daisy creates and performs her own puppet shows, and storytelling is at the heart of all strands of her artistic practice.
Her work is often both playful and dark and tends to explore the boundary between human and “other”, with a particular focus on non-human primates.
Hovering on the boundary between human and other animals, our closest animal cousins evoke the Uncanny, and have always aroused in us feelings of fascination and discomfort.
